FATBOY SLIM - BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMESTRY

Better Living Through Chemestry was recently dubbed the "party album of the year" - take a listen to it and you'll see why. Do you like ultra- fat breakbeats? Do you like something that commands you to get up and dance? If yes, then you'll like Fatboy Slim. Opening with the 70's-inspired Song For Lindy the disc goes into its only laid-back moment with Santa Cruz, which brilliantly approximates the sounds of seagulls and a roaring surf using synthesizers. Next up is Going Out Of My Head, distinguishing Slim as the only techno artist I know of to have sampled from the Who. (I'm still checking up on that one though, so don't quote me just yet. :) This is the "radio song" of the album and man does it rock! Here is a song absolutely impossible to listen to sitting still. It even makes me want to get up and shake my little white booty. Track #4, The Weekend Starts Here will make the floor vibrate if played loud enough on high-quality speakers, by the way. The rest of the tracks are all winners as well, with the quirky Michael Jackson standing out simply because of the choice of subject matter. It's not a tribute, let's just put it that way. This is truly an album no party should be without. To anyone who says all techno sounds alike, I say BUY THIS ALBUM!
