Our Lady Peace

Naveed: 80

Great singing, a fast beat, and awesome guitar work. It reminds me of I Mother Earth, but the two styles are distinctly different as well. If your in for a rockin’ treat try this c.d., you’ll never regret it. It is a two faced album with seven excellent songs followed by three bad ones to end the record. Their music is rock oriented with excellent guitar licks, unusual and good singing, and a great beat. This album has become a staple in my collection.

Clumsy: 79

This is another goodie, but distinctly different. It's more experimental and more diversified. Some songs get bloody annoying, but most are excellently done. The song writing has been improved and it is great to see them making more music. A good C.D for various moods, but definetly a different OLP. At first I was really dissapointed with it, but I now realise that this is something special and is worth investing in. It takes a little getting use to because it's so different compared to their first album. It's nice to see a band changing and evolving. It's decent listening and worth the money. Check it out.

Concert Experience:

I really enjoyed their concert. They played all of their trademark songs and played them well. I was about the only person in Denver who could sing to all their songs, and I sang with the backup guitar player. The lighting effects were really cool, and Raine is just a normal guy who makes music. I think it's really cool that he doesn't have to be all bad, and have a goat. They did a really good job and I enjoyed their concert fully. It was funny when people were throwing ice at the band, and he said "If someone next to you is throwing ice, fuckin' punch 'em in the head." They stopped right after that. It s such a neat experience to goto a concert and listen to one of your favorite bands.
