Blackhawk

Strong Enough 44

Well the overall mix between the instruments is fairly nice. And Henry Paul sings O.K. However, the ten songs on this CD sound completely identical. Yes, the songs have different names but to me they should be entitled Big Guitar In G, Big Guitar in A, Big Guitar in B, etc. Each verse and chorus sticks to your basic three or four chords. Then a bridge is thrown in for a tiny bit of a change of pace. Then a guitar solo is thrown in and back to the three chord progression. The ten songs are written in four different keys. The rhythms are all mid tempo and are played at nearly the exact same speed. Gosh does the word diversity mean anything to these guys? For one or two songs this is fine but an ten song album tells me that only a real boring guy could every like this limited band.
