Moist

Creature: 67

This c.d. is good, but doesn't really compare to Sliver. It's a less polished than Sliver and the songs aren't as tight. They have a few great songs, but the other songs remind me of fillers that so many bands use today. It's a good record if you want more Moist music, but for people who are looking to buy one of their c.ds for the first time, Creature cannot be compared to Sliver. They advanced too much in style and melody inbetween these albums.

Sliver: 80

From their singles they seem like an hard hitting rock band, but really they have their soft sides. It’s interesting how a band can make such a huge transition from being calming, to letting their anger out. I really like this group because of the feelings of contentment and the purging of anger happens in one band. Both the albums accomplish the same standards and although are the same style don’t tire quickly because of the diversity of songs. Although some critics may find the lead singer's voice to be weird, I think it's interesting and distinguishes Moist from other bands. Good guitar work, and above par singing makes this band an essential. Moist is another great Canadian band that is a definite buy because their standards of play are above most groups. Get into the Canadian music scene and try out this band as well as many others.
