Punk-O-Rama

Punk-O-Rama: 87

This is the ultimate 90's punk compilation. Includes are: Bad Religion, Gas Huffer, Rancid, SNFU, NOFX, Wayne Kramer, Total Chaos, Ten Foot Pole, Pennywise, Offspring, Down By Law, and RKL. This disc has been with me for five or more years, and I just can't get enough of it. There are some sweet melodies, obviously no repetition, and energy packed performances. Epitaph put this out, and most of these bands boast being the leaders of the punk revolution. You live with this disc, and it just keeps on growing as you grow. There's only one song that I don't like out of 16, and it keeps me moving, because this is music that lives with you. If you have any taste for punk, you should have this disc or buy it.

Punk-O-Rama 2: 60

I wasn't sad when I traded this into the used c.d. store. There are a few good quality songs, but it just isn't as well rounded as the first. I guess it gets getting use to, but I didn't bother. It wasn't really worth it. Some of my friends absolutely love this disc. I'm not sure why, but I guess it can appeal, you know, that punk edge. Any ways, This wasn't my favorite, and I'd like to classify it as generic, melody deprived punk.
