Rancid

Let's Go: 72

Just warning you, Rancid is punk to the core. His voice often seems shot, but fans love the music because of it. Weird? I don't think so. Their music is simply fun and in your face. It reminds me of crusing in a piece of shit car with a sound system that literally shakes the car. Their music is intense, action packed, and of course short and to the point. I usually end up listening to about half of the disc, because I'm punked out by then. Their music includes simple chords, chanting, and yelling, which takes a while to get use to, but I changed my mind after a few listens. For actionpacked insane intensity, check out Rancid.

Life Won't Wait: 75

They sure changed their spin on things with this disc. Included are the same hardhitting, spitting rock n' roll. The main influences appear to be Clash punk, and classic rock. There are some outstanding reggae tunes and rock tunes, which seem to stand out. There are the usual 23 tracks which includes something for both their hardcore fans, and casual listeners. Everyone will enjoy the sweet guitar solos, which appear in almost every track. You need to get use to knowing your way around the CD to fully appreciate it. Overall it is a revolutionary disc that includes content that I never thought Rancid would get into. It's one of those discs that is a turning point for the rest of a genre to follow by example.
