Weezer introduced the surf/ punk genre, and this disc is a classic of modern music. Every song reveals new dimensions to me. Each song is distinctly different, and varied. This is the kind of music that lives through your life for an extended period of time, maybe two or three years. At first their music appeared too simply because their guitar chord backups are essentially simple. The melodies that are created over these simple chords are what matters. It's hard to explain, but their music becomes complicated, and intricate. I don't listen to their singles any more, but everything else. Their singles turn me off because they have been overplayed, but when I look at the whole c.d., every song could be a single. That's how good it is. This disc is a classic of the 90's and shouldn't be overlooked.
