A band which would fit into the 1990’s perfectly, in fact any generation. Led Zeppelin was a revolutionary to rock who has a huge influence on the musicians of today. They made so many good songs with interesting lyrics, ever changing intensity, and awesome guitar background and solos. I find that if you go to the source, then it is usually better than how it has evolved. This is a classic example. This band will always be around because nobody else has been able to match their style and excellent song making. I know it costs a lot, but get the box set and you’ll never regret it. It has every Led Zeppelin song that I think you ever need to listen to, and the sound quality is top notch. It's just a great compilation. I would give it a 88. This is an essential to any music collector.
The BBC Recordings: 85
This is one of the few bootlegs of Led Zeppelin, and it offers a different perspective of their music. It has been released in a public form, so just goto your local record store to buy it. The band was a studio band, and they didn't want very many recordings of their concerts. Although this isn't as crisp as their studio work, it adds a different twist that you usually wouldn't expect. There are some great guitar solos which exemplify Page's master guitar playing. The singing is heart felt, and just an interesting exploration of his voice. It's a great compilation with a good mix of average and amazing songs which keeps it interesting. It's a double disc special and anyone who is a Led Zeppelin enthusiast should add this to their collection.

Although this c.d. got a lot of hype, I found that it was average, and a disc that will not be remembered. The influence of Led Zeppelin is evident, and they can still put out some decent tunes. It isn't the same without Led, and it's interesting, but not worth the price. I was disappointed, but for those diehard fans, a glance into the past is better than darkness.
